This really tugged at my heartstrings. I can't imagine all the things that go on in other countries. Americans have no idea. I know I do not because I'm so sheltered here.
War between different clans is a terrible thing, especially when the children have no choice but to endure and suffer. I'm sure you've seen things that most do not, my friend.

Thank you so very much for this thoughtful poem, Roy, indeed our loving God, loves all of us...,He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to save our souls, we should all be thankful for a chance at everlasting life...The verses you mention are very familiar to me...I've not been anywhere in Europe, but I have been to many of the Caribbean islands, and the only way one can ever know another people is to live/visit with them...Before my Richard left us in final sleep, we had purchased a plot of land in the Bahamas, it was our intension to have a place to visit, for long periods of time.
No matter how much people read, about other places, there's nothing like being there...
I do so appreciate your well written rhymed quatrain verses, and thanks again for sharing your thoughts with us...Yes Christ did say, forgive them, for they know not what they do...that can also go for the horror we are seeing in Ukraine right now...the difference is, that, those creating the horror for millions of people, over there, know exactly what they are doing...Thanks again...

Yes He offered free forgiveness, for those who were willing to repent and receive it. What I see today is that mankind refuses to forgive others, and also refuses to come to Jesus for His forgiveness. "Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us" - not well received by a lot of people.

What a picture. I see by your notes that you have done quite a bit of traveling and seen both the good and bad of mankind. There are projects, here and there, that bring youngsters from various countries together to learn each other's cultures. We need to do more of this.
