I loved this poem the first time I read it. Had to wait for some stars because this deserves no less than six. You are so good at free verse. This shines as brightly as Tim's poetry and I am a huge fan of what he writes. I am also a huge Emily Dickinson fan, so you have definitely won my heart with this post. I would not change a word. It is perfect. Thank you for directing attention to Tim's brilliant work. He deserves more readers. But so do you.

I am so shocked and honored by your comments and stars! Bless you! Tim has coaxed me out of the nest and urged me to catch the thermals of free verse. It is a whole different discipline. Exhilarating, I must say! Thank you so very much!

Karenina,
Your tribute to Emily Dickinson is great.
I especially like the epitaph etched in her grave marker.
Her poetry was written sometimes in simple form, but she always conveyed a profound message.
I really like your ode to her.
Good luck and blessings, Cindy

Beautiful writing Karenina. The eloquence and flowing thought were deftly crafted with talent and grace. I love the different subjects you used in this... Dickinson, Orion, etc. imaginative and interesting. So well done!!

Karenina, as a primarily free verse poet, I always attempt to compliment others who write with an authentic voice and respect the readers who stop, and process the writer's intention. With this poem you captured my attention from stanza to stanza The graphic was a bonus! Great job! ð??¶ð??¶ð???ð???

Don't tell anyone that I gave six stars to a poem about Emily. I have some female acquaintances that I tease when Emily's poems sneak into the conversation. As you might know, I am not into free verse, but you have outdone yourself with this one.

Thanks, Paul. Theodore McDowell has been invaluable as both a poet friend and mentor in helping me find my way in this free verse style.
I was remiss in not thanking him publicly when I posted this (and Sea Glass) ~ but have gone back and done so now. Your six is especially treasured--

"To Dwell in Possibilities" is a beautiful poem that would make Emily Dickenson proud. I love the tombstone picture and the quotes from Emily. She was a master of lovely language and yet so relatable.
Wish I had a sixth star left. This is hauntingly beautiful.
Blessings

Hello Karenina,
You've touched the elegant simplicity of Emily
in your wonder-filled homage to Miss Dickinson,
where hope meets love in a celestial dash
across the luminescent universe.
Many are drawn back to Emily, but few can make her smile.
Six stellar smiles.

Beautifully crafted free verse that weaves Emily and her inspiration with Orion and Saturn and other wonderful images into a powerful expression of spiritual and emotional love. So well done.

Thanks!
Emily sparked a love of poetry in me when I was eleven years old...
Little did I know as a child growing up in Rochester, NY, that in my golden years, still writing, I would live just miles from Emily's grave.
And God smiles...
