This poem is hilarious. It has a smooth, flawless rhyming pattern as each stanza builds on the previous one. The final stanza reveals the results of the irresistible sweet treat. You are a very talented artist also. Best wishes in the contest.

Oh, wow! I too love sweets--food in general, though! Yes, gluttony IS a sin, one I tend not to recognize as being serious when I'm enjoying my food. Your poem is well-written and vividly descriptive--conveying a strong point.

This poem is me. This was wonderfully done. I loved the bouncy cadence throughout and the food imagery made me hungry and now I want to find some cake of my own.
