Abandoned to You

I am thinking you are talking about Jesus in your poem. There is always something to be grateful for, even though we don't always see it. Many people have a lifting up in their life! If a person's health is turning around, that's great news. Many are filled with the peace of God which surpasses understanding; therefore, depression has no place in life.

You're exactly right. I believe God's ultimate goal is for Christ's life to be exhibited in us. In order to do that, we have to abandon our lives to Him. What a glorious thought! Thank you.

The author's words are loving, kind, descriptive and creative. The first
two lines of this poem flow and connect well. The last line says it all!
I really liked the wording in the first line it is filled with admiration.
The artwork goes well with this poem.

Life overflows with opportunities to be observant and thankful. Awareness of the close presence of a loving God is what all human hearts are craving. Those who respond to His eternal gift will one day know what eternal joy actually feels like.

Amen. Very well spoken. Thank you for your review.

I think you have done a great job of abstracting a concept because I can see how the description fits SOME aspects of some relationships:
(1) It somewhat fits one's relationship to the Lord, BUT--no matter how much we love Him--we DO want something from Him: salvation, guidance, peace, . . . (2) It somewhat fits one's relationship to another person, but I don't believe ANYone is as selfless as the person you've described! BRAVO

Thank you so much for your thought-provoking review. When I wrote this, I was thinking of our relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus abandoned Himself for us on the Cross. Salvation is free for the taking. Once we believe and accept that, He guides us and gives us His peace. If He gave HIs all for us, how could we do any less for Him? Again, thank you; I really appreciate the sixth star. John

As a long-tone Christian, I certainly embrace this message. I saw the other one as feasible also. :-)

Short but profound. So many seem to think that God is a source of never-ending blessings on them, without any need for faith. He is to be praised and acknowledged for who He is, not for what we can get from Him. Timely and relevant message. Best wishes for your entry.

Amen! You put it perfectly. Thank you.

That is quite profound. Reading it makes me hopeful that there are others who believe as I do: that we should be thankful for existing rather than what we can glean from using, using, using. Well done!

I love the submission represented in these few words. I pray this very same prayer. I am thankful that in the terrible situation of our world today I have full confidence in Almighty God.

He's promised to never leave us or forsake us, and He's never broken a promise. Therein lies our hope for the future of this fallen world. Thank you for your encouraging review and God bless. John

"I lift up my life to You
Not because of what You can give me
But simply because of Who You are."
I love it, what a wonderful experience it is when we worship God for Who He is, rather than for the blessings He provides.
