This poem is truly reassuring in a time like this when our world seems to have gone crazy- the poem reminds us of the sheer beauty of our planet that 'Our Lord has on display'

At first by the first stanza, this be a rhyming piece. Then it turned into more of a free verse? Then it seems every other stanza rhymes. I am not sure if this is a poetic structure I haven't encountered. Nonetheless, the message worthy of a five. Lovely images.

Yep. Your poem is beautiful. I will avoid discussing politics with you as I do most everyone else. So I will ignore your author's notes and stick to the poetry. Beautiful images you display on the printed page. The flow is smooth as silk and the meter works well. The message of a love of natural splendor is a great one and I applaud you and your desire to write about it. Nature sure is fine!
Thanks for sharing your gift of showing simplicity toward the written word.
Have a lovely day,
Jesse

Such a beautiful poem, and with a profound message too. We should always try to think on those things which are lovely and true and righteous and pure, and the magnificent beauty of nature seems like the perfect place to begin. I'm glad you also mentioned the music the birds make because that's one of the beauties I most enjoy when I'm outdoors or sitting by my open window. This is a delightful poem in every way. I'm so sorry I spent all my sixes already. MM

Mr. Smith's poem, "Don't Forget to Remember." elegantly reminds us of the beauty of this world in triplet-rhythmed short lines that rhyme lines 1 and 4 of each stanza. It is often hard to see God's hand in the experience of being human on this planet, and Smith encourages the reader, as thousands of writers have done, to see that hand in nature's beauty. I believe this graceful little poem communicates its message, even if its choice of images is predictable and doesn't cause our beards to bristle, a paraphrasis of A.E.Houseman.

These are poignant words and remind me of flinders fields where poppies innocently grow with magical metals in red whilst soldiers died on barbed wire during world war one. If only we remembered the beauty more often and concentrated on the nature around us and appreciate what we have, then the world would be a better place Willie, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Let us all pray. Evil unchecked has a way of spreading. Your awesome poem paint a delightful picture of the wonders of God made natural beauty and tranquility. We need to do all that we can to ensure that no self important despot ever gains the power to ruin our lives similar to what is goin on elsewhere in the world.
