This is such a lovely poem, celebrating the beauty of Mother Nature. It kind of reminds me of the song Louis Armstrong sang It's a wonderful world. Loved the title Don't forget to remember. Wonderful work!

' Don't forget to Remember ' , is an extremely well-written and spiritually-uplifting piece. Penned with craft and skill. This talented poet's work was a pleasure to both read and review. To me this is a six. Good luck with the contest. My fingers are crossed for you.

You are right - we must not forget to be thankful for the simple pleasures and beauty around us. We can lose perspective if we focus only on the fearful atrocities, much as we would like to be able to help in some way. Prayer for the wisdom of leaders, for people of the Ukraine to find or become strong in their faith in Jesus, prayer for wisdom to know how to support the suffering ones ...
Best wishes for the No Rules contest, your entry is clearly and well written.
Wendy

I like your poem- it is very soothing- your rhyme and meter are good and your message reminds of a guided meditation leading away from the negative energy of fear and uncertainty and brings the focus back to natures beauty and light - grounding effect- good job - Bless

The horrors we are facing are masking the beautiful things God created to provide his children. Those trees were for shade, water for thirst. Feet to walk, hands to work. He did not intend us to use our hands to hold weapons of mass destruction. Thank you for posting.

Hello Willie, a perfect budding of spring poem. Your poem reads and flows well and has good imagery within. I especially liked:

The flowers so colorful,
A lovely bouquet.
The birds in the trees.
A musical display.

(Delightful imagery. What spring is all about)

I also liked:
The grass on the hill,
Like a carpet of green.

(I also liked the above and it made me smile because--just sharing--my six year old grandson who loves to read and one day just started to write little stories said to me today that in his new story the grass is going to be made out of green frosting. Lol. Why not? The mind of a six year old.)

Also:
Let's try to remove
The horrors of each day
(Amen)

As this is a contest entry, I wish you good luck. LateBloomer

The author's words are uplifting, beautiful, meaningful and creative.
I enjoyed the read of this poem very much. And yes I agree with the
author we need to remember the beauty the Lord has given us. Thank
you for the author's notes - they are so true it breaks my heart.

Yes, sometimes the horrendous events going on in the world--Covid, violence in the streets, war--take over our minds and emotions. Nature is still there--still deserving of our appreciation. Your lovely poems conveys
a powerful, inspirational message.

Your simply expressed poem has a childlike quality that has engaging appeal. Staying aware of God's beauties in nature will keep some joy in our lives. A constant barrage of evil occurrences is very depressing.
Yelenskyy is indeed an inspiring leader. One never knows how people will react until there is a crisis.

One part of this poem that struck me is the last two lines of each stanza have beautiful descriptions. I love how they answer the first two lines of the stanza. The second and third stanza continue to answer the first, but the last two ask more of us. Nice job. Thank you for sharing.
