This is a charming poem with a lovely sentiment. The rhymes worked well and it flowed very nicely.

Thank you for sharing. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Hello, dear author! I really appreciate the message you spread. It really is hard during the horrendous last month to be happy, or rather, to not feel guilty for being happy. Let's hope this war will be over soon... Slava Ukraini!

Hi there,

I enjoyed this piece a lot and it's a very tiely reminder that there is peace and beauty all around us. Everyone seems to get hooked into the darkness and strife of life.

I have housemartins who nest in my eaves. They return every spring and there's nothing more joyful than watching them flit in and out.

All the best

It felt good to hear such a bright and positive poem. I have so much negativity and darkness inside me. The flow is smooth and the beautiful picture and color background goes well perfectly. Awesome job.

That's lovely! I do enjoy rhyming metrical verse and I especially enjoy positive ideas and creativity. The first line sets the scene with the affectionate invitation to share.

I totally agree with you. This world is too beautiful not to appreciate and feel grateful for. Your rhyming poem and the beautiful picture cheer me up.

Well done.

beautiful writing, Willie. You're right about our minds washing away the beauty of one's day and replacing it with the tragic war and the mad man that has perpetrated it all. I try to remember that still amidst the gray smoldering rubble a cardinal will rest for beauty prevails.

Couldn't agree more with your final sentence. He is one brave and admiral leader. Your poem is also excellent. It really flowed like the river in verse three. Steady and soothing.
Just read your comment again. I share your thoughts

This was a great poem. I could visualize the flowers, grass, and sun. There is so much truth in your last stanza, but to be honest the first 4 stanzas stood out because they left me with a sense of peace. When I read this poem again it all came together and gave me the thought keeping the positives close to our hearts(like the beauty of nature). Very nice work!

Hello Willie, thanks for this great reminder that the world goes on, even in the midst of wars and madness. We're more aware of this war because it's being covered on the news, but every day terrible things happen to multitudes of people. Nonetheless, as you've pointed out, the sun still rises, spring still comes, people still fall in love, neighbors look out for each other and all the many things that make life beautiful occur. We have to choose to see the many blessings before us.
Have a blessed evening.
Tom
