Paying attention to the rain is good escapism from life. Well thought out. Clearly written. Good visual imagery. Creative. Enjoyable to read. Nice work :)

I liked your contemplative poem. You made good use of repetition, rhymes, and personification. Your poem moves from the anticipation of the physical rain to the realization of good intentions. Nicely done free verse.

Thank you for your kind review. It was when I was sitting waiting for the rain. :)

You write, I think too much, I believe too much,
and I believe too little after thinking a lot.
It's the pessimist side of me. Am I ADHD? ......................................................................................

There is much to gather from this poem...
Rain as cleansng, hopeful, increasingly healing, flowing into our thoughts...
I like the way you swing from observation of the rain to introspection, beginning with "I think too much..."
Nice closing lines, as well! Good intentions do not always manifest... Just as that rain teasing the horizon!

I enjoyed reading this. Funny how inspiration can flood in whenever it wants and take you over. Your writing is wonderfully descriptive and adding the lavender background color created a very calming effect on me.

I liked the personification in the third stanza with clouds, winds, and the tree. The poem reads well, and have good details. I was also inspired by the rain yesterday to write a poem. Nice job.

"Raining"
(An observation)
This speaks of the rain falling the clouds gathering in representing a change.
Crying clouds can represent many things.
And as they gather above they can be a beautiful thing as this change is necessary.
...
Nothing stands still in life and those who grasp it?
Yes, are the ones who move ahead.
Well written Rich in Theme and Imagery.
I like this message Mick!

You have created this poem well contemplating about the rain and comparing it with your life. I always love the rain, the sound of pitter patter on the rooftop. Rain makes everything grow so the world can live.
Best wishes.

This free verse uses the coming storm as a thing for some to flee and for some to embrace. The rain is needed to relieve the dryness and reinvigorate nature. It can be a metaphor for cleansing oneself so the good intentions can become real.
You are right that the world has changed a lot in the last few years. COVID
seems to have brought fear and violence to the forefront. Hopefully this rain of yours will cleanse that.
Keep writing and stay healthy

The rain can be interpreted in a few ways. Rain falling from the sky, or from tears. No matter, rain turns dirt into mud puddles. We have to watch where we are walking. Tears run down our face when hurt or sad, breaking our heart. Thank you for the thoughts you have written in your poem.
