I love this poem, which touched me greatly. For reasons I won't elaborate on, I want/need to live as long as possible right now, to support a much loved person who is going through challenging times. This one's a keeper that I might share with her at the right time. Thank you. x

I loved the way you highlighted the positive aspect of death. We are dust and to dust we will return. But we are also of the earth and all that this planet encompasses. The air, the land, the sea. We are one and never far away. The colorful presentation added to the lovely imagery.

A perfect poem to share with loved ones, to remind them how we will never let them down. Regardless of what may happen, we remain at their sides. and do so gladly.

Gypsy rose,
Thank you for this very touching poem. I would like your permission to send it to some of my nieces and nephews, so they can remember me in such a beautiful, poignant way. If you give me permission, I will make sure to send it to them as is, making sure they know you are the author.
Awesome layout and lettering too.
Blessings,
Cindy

Comment from Gloria ....
I absolutely love your free verse poem here. There is no need to repeat those sections I like best, because that would be all of them.
Grieving is a life-long process and hearing, seeing, sensing the loved one all around in nature is healing.
Very much enjoyed this one. :))

What a beautifully written poem. So enjoyable to read. Your writing has a light, airy quality to me. The presentation adds dimension to your words and pulled me in. My father died 20 years ago and I can still feel his presence with me.

You stepped out of your comfort zone here to write these words and I adored the sentiments as we live on in among the flowers, in our children's eyes and in the breeze, a sweet natured write, love Dolly x

This is exquisite, Gypsy! Every word is a healing balm to the grieving heart...
I must have read this five times, blinking back tears...moved to my very core.
For all of those I have lived and lost...for those who will one day find me slipped from their grasp..
This....
This is the message I want to wrap all of our hearts in!
Perfection in free verse!
Bravo!

Beautiful gentle poem, Gypsy. This demonstrates that free verse can be lyrical. You write about the continuing spirit with tranquil confidence using gorgeous imagery. This would have been an excellent entry for the faith contest.
Stay safe and blessed
