Thank you for your share. It is an important lesson about how we when young can view things falsely but if you are determined, let the job pay your bills while you try even now. Let work fuel your passion. Don't give, not yet, not ever!

This poem is really excellent--entertaining, skillfully and creatively written with good rhyme and meter, and vividly descriptive and funny in its contrast of what was dreamed of and what HAPPENED.

Fantastic humorous poem.
The rhyming flowed so well
too. The last stanza has a
funny ending. This is really
well done. I like different
forms of poetry and a humor
poem is one of my favorites.

Are you casting aspersions on the people who fill the friggin' shelves at Walmart? :-) This is a very witty piece, but most of the people I know in the entertainment business are shallow and significantly less talented than they think they are. I'm surprised your subject gave up so easily. LOL. A very enjoyable rhyme.
