This supernatural story, Vicksburg, captures the reader's imagination as the area brings the sense of terror and loss to the fore. To be so empathetic as to feel as the widow would is a spooky situation.

This is really creepy, Shirley, to think this is a true story! Do you have any idea why you would have the feeling you had been this man's wife in a previous life? I think I'd be avoiding cemeteries altogether after that. Thanks for sharing. Good luck in the contest.

What a story, and I know it is true. There are many things in life, we cannot explain. Especially to others, ones who have not walked a mile in our shoes. There are spirits lingering. Honestly, I would not want to linger around on earth, in the times we are living. However, thank you.

That's a really good story. That feeling of familiarity can be quite moving, and you rather feel like you have been taken possession of. Not great English there but I understand the feeling. Gettysburg haunted me. Very interesting. Have you tried to find out any of the history of Patrick Coker?

I live down south and one day my brother call that he was in the hospital. My brother was stationed in Illinois. Since I'm the eldest I took a train to see him. He got better and we drove around the state, on one of the roads I felt hatred flow in the air. There had been a Civil War battle in that area. I beleive that spirits walk the land and many are angry. This is a good story. My vote's yours.
