Putin sees and bears people dying all around him. He could care less no more peace tranquility till we once again are at peace. A long way from it thanks to Putin being greedy.he wants to rule the world

Yes, so many times we can think back to what someone who has gone on before us has said and be blessed with their thought all over again. Thanks for sharing!

Yes, today the names are hard to pronounce. That picture is beautiful. And it sounds like you had a great friend. This is a great tribute to your friend. It is so hard to lose a loved one. I understand where you are coming from.
Thank you for a great post.

This poem, The Name's in the Wind, is a sad but also joyous reminder that so many people have affected our lives and we can at least and probably at most remember and extol their virtues to others.

Mike, that is a touching and poignant poem.
Losing anyone who means a lot to you is hard. Unfortunate as it is, time sometimes does cause people to forget and memories fade.
However, you sound like someone who does nice things for people and you are a thoughtful person, so I bet you will be remembered with fondness.

Comment from Anne Johnston
Your poem is very well done, and so true. As we get older, more and more of our family and friends are taken from us. I like your closing verse:
"worry not for me
the Lord has forgiven my sins
and I have loved countless people
one day, the wind will whisper my name
I wonder how many people will know, to listen"

Comment from Jessa Miller
I absolutely loved this. Everything in it is 100% truth, and though I hope I have a lot of life left to live, I fear for my child and other children who, as you say, are bombarded with meaningless banter. Their ability to have purposeful relationships is tainted by the digital age in which we live, and this brought all those emotions to mind along with a mourning for those I have lost. Thank you for sharing this.
