I read as you reflect on those you've lost and I feel your grief through your unanswered questions.
I'm sorry for your losses and mine, but I believe their souls are jealously guarded by our God. That thought carries me through when I think of those I've lost.
I believe, Mike, that death is only the beginning; not a finality. We pass from one door to another, and if we've lead good lives, we live eternally with God.
When talking of your earth mortality, you ask the question of how many people will know when the wind whispers your name. I think many will know. We touch each other in so many ways every day.
Thank you for your awesome poem, and for enabling me to ponder deep questions.

Hi, Terry. We also have lost a few friends this past year. It seems different since I almost lost my wife to several heart attacks four years ago. The pain is fuller when we lose someone. Thank you for your kind words and shiny six stars. They are deeply appreciated!

I thought this was great. I loved the opening stanza, that was pretty much perfect. It was a great poetic moment, a wonderful, colorful poetic image, and it really caught the sense of loss with the sense of peace. Then you spoke of how those that have passed on have lived on in the lives of grandchildren. That circle of life. estory

It is so true Mike as we get older we keep losing those who meant so much to us over the years. I love Ralf too and enjoyed all the things she wrote. Do you remember Sonya.
