One couldn't help admiring our heroes, they have the appearance of being Robin Hood, robbing the rich to give to the poor, but really they weren't quite like that, but at least they are thoughtful lynch-fodder, well done Earl, an excellent post, blessings Roy

I didn't think I would enjoy this, but I really, really did. I like how the main characters did "the Lord's work." Keep up the good work! Thanks for sharing.

Loved this chapter!! I'm really going to enjoy this story, although we all know and love Boone, it's going to be a wonderful novel to read through your telling. I'm glad the clark was given a $100, I'm sure he appreciated it. And what a nice surprise Whipstock is going to have! Lol. Well done, I'll be watching for chapter 3. :)) Sandra xx

I see they have become the western Robin Hoods, rescuing poor farmers from mean bankers and taxmen. It's a good thing Whipstock was so kind and hospitable to these outlaws.
I can't remember from your opening chapter which one was related to that lady you introduced us to.

Thanks for clearing that specie-money for me, Earl. You got yourself a good start in the highwaymen department. Seem like you're into western cause you know the people and the language. Carpetbaggers destroyed many lives stealing from the poor folk and getting rich. Good story. Thank you for sharing.

I got a real kick out of this piece. Take from the rich and give to the poor, a sort of Robin Hood get even story that give the tax collector as good as he sends. LOL. Thanks for sharing. Wish I had a six.

Some good ole boys doin' the Lords work. What a hoot. Greedy bastards who take advantage of hard working honest people are still hard at work. They rob from people who can least afford to be robbed and blame the problems poor folk have on everybody but themselves. How can the problems of the honest poor be the fault of other poor people while the rich just seem to get richer?

This work has reached the exceptional level

I really liked this chapter! It is well written, has good dialogue and is full of action. I enjoyed how casually you added a bank robbery into the chapter, which kept it exciting.

One potential error for your considration:

{Mopping up the last bean juice with a crust of bread, Brady answered.(,)}--comma, not period at end.

I'm looking forward to learning more about the characters and learning their motivations and plans!

Well done!

You must be a walking encyclopedia of western lore, Earl. This is the second or third piece I've read of yours, and they don't disappoint. I couldn't find anything substantially wrong. You missed several spacings between paragraphs, but that's all fixable. I like your voice. It's easy and conversational. There's a good balance between dialogue and narrative and no description for description's sake. Everything's clean and crisp. Great job.
