I'd never stopped to think about all the feelings that come from serenity. Your verbs express them well, and your picture is a great example for serenity. One of my favorites was "energizes like the joy of laughter."

When we were living in Germany, I would see swans all over, not so often in the US. Your contest entry did the beauty of swans justice. Yes, as humans we fail at peace and serenity. Good luck with the contest.

Water is where i find my peace as well. I can't wait for the ice and snow to melt so I can return to my deck again. When I stand or sit there in the early morning, watching the sun peek over the horizon and listen to the birds, all my troubled thoughts are left sitting inside.

Beautiful! Great photo. Birds and animals do soothe us because they don't worry like humans. When we need to chill we watch avian antics and laugh or ducks swimming. We are on major flood watch, again!
