That is the feeling after a straight wind or thunderstorm. The weather can be so unpredictable and then suddenly the wind, rain and lightning start. It can be horrifying until it all dies down and becomes silent.

Your poem cleverly recreates the power and the noise generated by this powerful storm. It carries the reader along, on the wind so to speak. Then it is over, suddenly quiet. Very atmospheric.
