Lovely well written story, Wendy. I like its progression. It often happens that initial antagonism changes to friendship and affection.
Excellent play on words based on your gardening theme.
Stay safe and blessed

I like the way romance bloomed in your romantic story. He certainly was not the mean man he appeared to be at the beginning of the story, and I thought it was neat the way their argument turned into a friendship, then turned into love.

This romance story, Cutting Remarks, has a unique meeting, snappy dialog, and a charming ending. Who knew some clipping could lead to love?

I like this story. I like how the couple first meet on rather bad terms but the kindness of both is shown by their words, and I especially like how you told the story, showing us the scene and the reasons for what was happening. Very well done, and I suspect it will get many votes in this contest. Good luck to you. MM

Excellent entry for the Romance Story writing prompt contest.
I like the metaphor at the end, blossom Flowers and blossom love. It's very romantic :)
Well done, Wendy.

You write such fascinating stories. I love to read them. This story hit the bottom of my heart, too, because cancer is an awful disease that we need to find a cure for....

These sound like real people and you did a great job starting off with a big bang - with the conflict. But he was able to listen and even apologize when he learned of her intentions. Great way to show how romance can blossom! Best wishes in the contest!

Thank you Helen for a wonderful review. (Maybe it was prompted by a time I took a cutting from some-one else's plant which was spreading across the footpath! No-one ever knew, but I always felt guilty! The story is all fiction, lol.

But it had some bits of reality like planting a garden at the Cancer Treatment place. Great story! 💖

Great entry for the Romance contest. How often people are like Geoff, make assumptions and speak without finding out the reasons behind someone's actions. Glad this story had a happy ending.

Thank you Anne. A super review. Yes, we can be very quick to judge, and it is sad because in some cases, friendships can be spoilt or love not found. I like happy endings!
