What a unique way to express that spring is coming. I'd never heard of Worm Moon. I'm truly looking forward to the longer days, as well as the earth in bloom!

Thank you Verna. For some reason all the full moon for each month have names. Some were named by Indians. Jan. was wolf moon, Feb. was snow moon. Mar Wolf moon. I think April is pink moon. I started in January writing a poem each month about the name of the moon.

This is a duplicate. I don't know why that happens but I seem to send a lot of duplicate reviews. I don't mind getting them because they both seem to count.

This is an excellent as well as interesting acrostic. I also enjoyed your author notes very much. I like how you wrote this and the picture is perfect as well. Good luck in the contest. I think you're on a roll. ;")

Well done on this acrostic poem. I am sure we are all anxiously waiting for March 20, when spring officially arrives. Let's hope we have no more snow storms after that and weather warms up.

Ah Beth I can hardly wait for the spring moon and what it symbolises. To see the end of the winter and the beginning of new life. Worm moon is not something I have ever heard of. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you Linda. I hadn't heard of that name either until I started writing about the moons and their names. I can't wait for Spring either.

This is so cool, Beth! I'm glad you are continuing with your moon poems. I'll look forward to the Worm moon. In Korean ancient times, there were 14 seasons - every two weeks certain things in nature was noted. I think the Worm Moon corresponds to the coming of insects.
Great job with the acrostic poem that even rhymes and keeps a regular meter!

Thank you Helen. is the climate of Korea similar to our climate? I will try to keep writing poems about the moon and see if I can use a different type of poetry each time. Some of the I've never tried

My aunt told me that when she lived in Houston, she thought the climate was like the southern city she came from. Of course it's different in North Korea which has more cold winters. And it's a mountainous country so it must have lots of micro-climates all throughout. What surprised me was that every bit of flat land was used to grow plants.

Thank you for this post. It is very refreshing. The thawing of the snow, the bright sunshine that has been hidden for so long, is welcomed. The gloomy past season is not missed. Thank you for this great poem.

You did a great job with your tribute to the Worm Moon, Beth. I love the image and the color scheme. Your words flow smoothly with good rhymes and create great imagery. You gave readers some great facts, and you notes are an added bonus. Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

Thank you, Roy. I write more poetry than you think, and you always comment on it. It is usually for a contest where you don't show you name so you don't realize it is me. LOL

We are all looking forward to that... one that is for sure, but people under my sign, Cancer, will always feel the pull of the moon no mater the month as it waxes full. This is a lovely poem however and it reminds us that spring is not that far off. xxx Nancy:)

Thank you Nancy, I see what you mean. I looked at Cancer for the month and since the moon is rules for you and this is a super moon it does sound so great. I'm not into astrology, so I would fret about it. I appreciate the review. At least Spring is on the way.
