Writing allows us to free built up emotions and helps us work things out. Better to act some of those thoughts on paper than in life. Writing is a tool for mental health. Your theme is perfect for this site.

I write exactly for those reasons - it is a recreational release without having to pay a shrink. Who needs a shrink when there are FanStory reviewers, haha.

I like it! Yes, there is something liberating about self-expression through writing and art. And the use of taking the initiative and the sense of control by "holding the key" is a great metaphor. Good use of rhyme in this brief poem. Best wishes in the contest!

We as individuals write for many reasons. More often than not, people explain writing as a way to express our inner thoughts and creative ideas. Through writing, a person is able to expand their mind and spark their imagination.

It is succinct and philosophical at the same time.

Thank you! Most people yabber on too much. I myself enjoy silence quite often... even 8 words can seem too much sometimes.
