This is a great entry! Talking from the beginning that she was sorry that she killed her "baby!" That kind of a beginning sentence just naturally makes you want to know more. At the end when she says she moved her cursor and grayed out the words, then she was gone. It all fell into place. Very clever! Good luck with the contest.

I really can relate to the Speaker who killed "her baby." I recently scrapped a 30-chapter baby I loved. You set us up very well with your opening two paragraphs. Good description of the "murder" in paragraph three. Rod

May the 30 chapter baby will have a reincarnation. Anything is possible. Thanks for the read and the encouraging feedback.

haha :D this one actually had me worried because of the title but it was a very clever piece and something I think most of us here can relate to. EXCELLENT job and I hope you win the contest ^.^

Thank you for the read and the good wish. I hope so too, but the fun, win or lose, is having an outlet of expression.

Dear Mystery Writer/Killer,
hahahahaha! Hmmm... And maybe this is actually Stephen King in disguise... ? Yep. I agree. As honest, true, serious writers who want to move forward, we must be willing to kill our babies. Though I thought that bit of advice was referring more to our main characters and such, but in the end, it's all the same. We must be willing to sacrifice any of our work for the greater good. Man, it hurts - but you know when you're WILLING to do it, you're growing. When you actually DO it, you're graduating. hahaha
Thanks so much and good luck!
