Wow this hits close to home. I have one of these nasty culprits hanging by my side as well, waiting to ruin a perfectly good moment at anytime.
Your words here reflect my situation like a mirror. I'm sure my workmates think me a fool; my self doubt making me so awkward and nervous as I stumble over my tongue. And then after what I see as failed conversational exchanges, I judge myself as dumb, I listen to that dreaded voice of doubt and agree with it -how destructive!
I know I'm intelligent though, and caring, compassionate etc.
Anyways, great piece of writing.

I'm in this one too but I think I may have not followed instructions very well. I wrote a rhyming poem and not really a story as prompted in the rules - oh well we'll see.

A learning experience that more need to read than those that won't.
I especially like the notes that followed and am glad you overcame the previous misuse of your id. One question re: " make you soar." Would sore a better word, for I think of soar as flying high which doubt would never allow.

Oh the damage that is done at an early age. Your back story saddens me; the only good thing about it is that you have overcome it and achieved well. Your experience has also made your personification of Doubt particularly authentic.
