I am a bit fan of love poetry and rhyming couplets. You have a good theme, but it needs some extra refinement before the contest ends.

You have put rhymes to good use here, and the theme of sorrow is most unique.
Just one typo here:
your (you'll) always be my valentine
even though we are clandestine

I don't know to whom this Valentine is dedicated, but I'm quite sure they are looking down from wherever they now dwell and feeling warmed and touched by the beauty of this tribute. Very well written and very emotional.
