When I was in Hawaii said the best way to trap cockroaches was to fill a bowl with wine then smear peanut butter on the edge. The roaches would come to get the peanut butter then fall in the wine, get drunk and drown. Good luck in the contest.

"Oh death, death, where art thou sting?" This one was so much fun to write - especially the research! Thanks for stopping by!

Your poem is lighthearted and reads well. The picture, font color and background color go perfectly with your work. Best of luck with your entry in the upcoming contest. Many blessings to you

Reese, I'm happy I could make you smile as you made me smile 😊

Reese,

Your bumblebee knows the meaning of "sweet nectar," but he obviously doesn't know when enough is enough. Thank goodness there was a caring busboy to prevent him from flying into a tree at high speed and ending up in a bee hospital with a bent wing. Lots of laughs in this one.

So glad you found this one. Had an oaky start with a most mellow and warming finish. Left a bouquet of happy across my face as I poured it. At last, an opportunity to write about something with which I have experience! Thanks for stopping by. Take the cork if you like - I won't need it!

I remember the Days of Wine, but somehow don't remember the roses.
