A most scrumptious post and you created a mono-rhyming poem for this story contest. I like your creative take on the contest rules and you got me wondering what a banana souffle might be like. Best wishes in the contest!

Lyenochka -- thank you for this flattering review! I myself have not tried a banana souffle yet. Or perhaps, any sort of souffle. Maybe I will try my hand at them for Easter. This was a fun one to write. Glad you enjoyed it and I much appreciate the stars! Best, Harambe

This is an amusing interpretation of the 21 word spiritual fiction prompt. As such, the inventive full line-end rhymes are perfectly appropriate, as is the colour of the font used (although it's a bit difficult to read).

Thank you Katherine for the kind review and stars, as well as the feedback on the readability. I added a font shadow to make it more readable. Let me know what you think!

Shadow improves it, but increase size considerably (and maybe interline spacing - see my last poem Biography - only 6 words to read)

Yes your text is very clear. The problem is I really don't like word wrapping rhyming rhyming lines, and portrait mode is the default viewing mode for mobile devices, so unless I make that picture a lot bigger, my longer lines can only go out so far to the right. So they can only be so large. Maybe it is time to experiment with that.

That's it simple and to the point.
A great gratitude poem.
Gratitude prevents depression.
So this can be like a morning prayer.
As soon as you open your eyes ,
You grab a bunch of bananas.
And thank the maker.
And your partner makes the sufflle
You thank them too.
Double whammy.:-))Z.

Thank you strandregs! A lot of my posts are considered somewhat "iconoclastic" so this was a fun and uplifting exception. I literally have a bunch of bananas in my shopping basket right now, and am looking forward to eating them. Fortunately they are organic so that, if converted into souffle, no heresy will be committed.

    I ate 5 last night.
    Just ripe.
Did you know it's better to eat them not sweet?
Spoil sports want us to walk bare foot on snowy mountain top and eat mou th curdling bananas. Up yours I say. :-))Z.

I really like bananas myself, but I think you've taken it to a new level of high. Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us. I enjoyed reading and wish you luck with the contest.

I haven't had a banana souffle before but it might be my new drug, once I figure out how to apprehend or create one (I think I included the recipe in the post). Thank you! : )

Thank you! I didn't even know what a souffle was -- the word was in my vocabulary but I had to look up what it actually was, and was lucky enough to find that splendid picture of one. I think I included the recipe in the piece -- maybe we can both try making one and compare notes! Let me know if you do...
