Hello Begin Again a tremendous Thursday to you. I hope this finds you well. I liked your 39 word spiritual fiction entry, I think you executed it well. Good job. Nice Win!

I am getting slower by the second and every time I think I have a handle on being polite and telling everyone how much their efforts and words mean to me (truly mean to me) I discover I have just fallen further behind. I appreciate that people actually enjoy what spills from my aging brain and couldn't find more happiness than sharing my writing. I thank you for your time and thoughts.

Sending a basket of smiles and hugs and apologies... especially to those I've left waiting for days.

    HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!
May cupid sprinkle you with much joy!

    Always, Carol

Hmm, this is very interesting. So, the homeless vet got into Heaven, simply because someone beat him to death? Maybe there is more to it, but maybe not. I think you did well with the severe limits imposed by the contest.

Good luck.

Great entry for the 39 Word Spiritual Fiction writing prompt contest. Good form according to the contest requirements.

Some people like to believe in angels, it gives them hope.

Good luck in the contest.

The picture reflects what the fiction tells you. This is a well written given the limit of 6 lines and 39 words.

You have done an excellent job.

Thanks for sharing.

Good thought to start the day and a hope that those veterans who gave their all will be welcomed by loving arms. I cannot imagine the pain, and misery these men and women have seen to cause them to live in dark alleyways.

Good morning, Tom. Thank you for the review and your comments. Since you only thought it was worth a four could you help me by telling me where I could make corrections? thank you!

I feel too many 5 or six stars are given so I have decided to read every entry in a contest and give the one I select as best the five stars. I am not a professor who has taught form and substance, just a fellow who puts his thoughts on paper and let them end where they or other may think they are. Seems too many five stars are given perhaps hoping the reviewer if they have an entry is returned those stars in full. Besides, a limited line poem is difficult to bend to one's desire all the time.

This is a wonderful 39 words to read. Thank you for sharing it. I did not see any mistakes, and you did a great job. If I had a six, it would be yours. Good luck in the contest. Shirley

This thirty-nine-word spiritual story, Welcome Home, has the proper word count and shows the readers the happy ending to even the most unjust lives endured. Peace at last.

Beautifully written. Sad that this kind of thing actually happens. Not one veteran should be living on the streets in the first place! This soldier made it all the way home to Heaven, finally. Great job! Good luck with the contest!

This prompt was challenging, yet you were able to write a complete and understandable story in six sentences using only thirty-nine words. Your final words, "Glory is yours," gives the reader a sense of completion and comfort. Best wishes in the contest.

Proof that it only takes a few words to make an emotions story. And one that I would love to reward with a six, if I only had one. This takes me back to Hemingway's "For sale: baby shoes, never worn."
