I liked it and thought all six stanza would have the same wording in lines one but weren't in four or five. Also, everything was positive of the lady until stanza four where you wrote: "I don't know why she was unkind."
I would think a question here could be asked such as: I know not when she was unkind." idk It's not mine to change.

T his poem made me think of my aunt. She was always kind to me, no one else mind you. I like this poem and you painted your aunt as a kind loving person. Thank you for sharing. Take care.

I love how you wrote this tribute poem. It reeks of honesty and creativity with its clear statements about Aunt Edna snd how she lived her life, while showing how much she meant to you. I also loved the abundance of slant rhymes used bravely throughout the poem. I thoroughly enjoyed this gracious poem. My condolences.

Janet,
This shows you don't have to be rich and famous to be important to the lives of people. Some people's actions are hard to understand. In the photo of her she looks a little mean or judgemental.
Sorry for your loss.
Keep writing and stay healthy

God bless your Aunt Edna! Often we do not know what bends in another's journey makes them contrary, or less than kind. Enough that you loved her and remember her with a benevolent heart! - Karenina

Some people are hard to get to know and hard to understand and because of the other may misjudge them. They might make great friends if someone really understood them well. It would be sad if you were her only friend but at least she did have one.

Comment from Gloria ....
What a most unique theme, and yes sometimes this happens and like you say, the real reasons are largely unknown.
Excellent rhyme and flow here, and I bet Aunt Edna would be thrilled with such recognition from you.
Many thanks for sharing. :))

Your aunt reminds me a great deal of my grandmother. She was quiet and often solemn but her kindnesses, especially towards me, will never be forgotten. She was the most influential person in my life. 36 years after her death I still try to be like her. I relate to your poem and to your relationship with your aunt. Best wishes.

Thank you Victor for your thoughtful and encouraging review. Your grandmother had an influence on you like my aunt had on mine. I often wonder what my influence will be on my family.

You are most welcome, Janet. I don?t think too often about what will be left behind to remind my children and grandchildren of me. I hope it?s positive. I just know it?s positive now for me to be with them. And that?s pretty good.

Yes ma'am many times people are totally misunderstood. I see this all the time. They are really nice but people always attack them for something.
I'm sorry for your loss.
Thanks for sharing your poem with us.
