A simply charming and delightful poem.
It also has a great lesson in friendship and overlooking differences.
I have to give you my last six for rhyme, story and message.
Good luck in the contest.

I love the flow of this poem that told a story with a very good moral. I could visualise both the elephant and giraffe as I read which is important with children's poems. This should do well in the contest.

A bright, lovely little tale of friendship! Heartwarming and delightful! It flows well and made me smile - Excellent job!

Tiny typo - unnecessary apostrophe after giraffes in the third stanza

Thanks for sharing! Keep up the great work!

Hi I love this tender little story of friendships. This is not easily to be had these days. I am still looking for an honest fried till today at 85.

This material addresses a major concern with children of all ages. Everyone needs a friend; often potentially great friends are overlooked simply because they look different. The best way to acquire a great group of friends, is to embrace your differences.

An excellent poem for this contest, good luck. I am pretty sure a child will like this poem and story. I am also sure some adults will like it as well. It is fun and provides a good lesson to all. Good job.
