This is beautiful. The verses are good for rhythm and rhyme and the story told is so heartwarming. Whether or not one believes in Jesus, I fully support the notion that those who depart this mortal coil, remain with us, in our hearts, our minds, and in the essence that they brought to our world. Simply lovely.

Losing a precious grandmother or grandfather is always hard for children. But if they are told in a nice way that they have gone to live with Jesus, then they can accept it more. This was a really lovely poem for such an occassion. Well done and good luck in the contest. :) Sandra

Thank you for your encouraging review. I wrote it for my granddaughter who lost her other grandmother a few months ago. I wanted her to know that she can remember her grandma and hold her in her heart always.

This poem is a lovely tribute for your grandmother. The author's words
are sad, hopeful, clear, descriptive and creative. Thank you for the author's notes - they are beautiful. Now that I am a grandmother this
poem brought tears yet also hope to me. The poem flows and connects well. Great poem!

This poem, Grandma's Not Gone, has a nice rhyme and shows us all the ways in which memories will be served as items and places become channels to loved ones.
