"No matter how much time went by,
It was not hard to find
My grandma all around me. She
Lived in my heart and mind."
What a beautiful children's poem, great rhyming and smooth flowing words. How wonderful that the memories of a loved one live on in our hearts.

A wonderful poem accompanied by a very meaningful photo. And yes, the memories, the scents and sounds and experiences f daily life keep the cherished one close in our hearts. Lovely, with excellent flow, metre and rhymes. Best wishes for your entry.

sometimes grandmas do touch a grandchild in more than one way. If this child could smell her perfume, could feel her hugs and kisses and even hear the words in a song, she was around in spirit.

Well written. Good work.
Though it is about children, I can't hear children reading it.
A couple of the rhymes seemed forced - days/face, come/home
Good luck in the contest. Best wishes.

A beautiful poem very well-written. I like the rhyming scheme and it has excellent flow and rhythm. The message is wonderful. It is a poem for children of all ages to remember their grandmother! good job.

This beautiful poem made me smile; I also teared up. It is so beautiful. touching, and vividly descriptive of how one's essence can live on after death--in sights, smells, sounds . . . . I found the part about the sweater especially moving.

This is a marvelous poem to show how a child kept her memories of her grandma alive. My favorites were of the sweater, the tart apple, the scent of line-dried sheets. I loved, "lived in my heart and mind." Good writing here--a poem I'll remember.

I like your poem for it reminds the child of happy memories. It helps them focus on positive thoughts instead of sadness. It allows the child to revisit the good times spent with grandma a great way to keep her alive in the life of her grandchild.
