What a great idea to turn it into a book, and to make it interactive as well. It reads well (and adults have to enjoy reading such a book, as they will do it many times!) Children can join in the repetition as well as the noises. Very creative, and well thought through. Sending best wishes for your excellent entry.

This poem, Thanks for the Animals, is a fun verse, definitely made for kids. It is a good starter for an eventual picture book.

I'm sure kids will love your rhyming... it really suits a melody line and being laid out as a picture book - good luck with that project. God bless all the creatures! It sure is a wonderful world with al those interesting things in it.

Awwww I enjoyed this so much and read it to my youngest daughter who also loved it. The rhyming and flow is brilliant and very relatable for children with its happy, bouncy rhythym and brilliant colourful imagery used! I loved it. The picture is adorable too.

Thanks so much for the lovely review and for the anthology tip. I?m honored to know someone who can actually spell "0nomatapoeia."

The best line in this poem is "the zigzag zebrags.omg. do you know there was a bar in manhattan on 23rd street called The Zigzag bar? Hilarious.
The only reason I dont give you a six star rating? I think that " oh, what a wonderful world" is a paraphrase of the famous jazz song " what a wonderful world" by Louis Armstrong. Maybe you should reference that in your author's notes?

Thanks for your thoughtful review. I?m glad you are so careful about plagiarism issues. I?m it sure I agree that using the phrase "wonderful world" falls into that category, but you have certainly given me food for thought.

Its not likely anyone will ever use the word plagiarism here myself included. Its just a close similarity. No worries
-
To paraphrase is pretty common, its not really a big deal. But that song is pretty common...

You are so thoughtful. Thanks again.
