This is a simple goal. He may want to eat another later. This reminds us we might want to make more advanced and society minded goals than this one. Though just eating a meal is a goal for the poor which we should help.
Congrats on getting third in the reviewing contest.
Good luck in the contest.

Dragonpoet -- thank you very much! You know the saying about "an apple a day". This might be the next iteration.

You are most kindly welcome, HFP.

Straight to the point. I love it!! I love the colour and the gorilla with his timely message. You have linked your page with the next poem about a goat. Isn't that a bit greedy? You are eating two bananas with two ideas. Sounds like a load of fun to me.

Jan, when it comes to bananas I am always a greedy gorilla. I even have a bunch of organic bananas on my dining table just to remind myself every morning how vital they are to nutrition. Every one of my 20-something (or is it 30 now?) banana/gorilla poems are linked in a chain, in case you ever get really bored! The only time the latest one is unlinked is when it is a blind contest entry, and after the contest is over I edit it to link it.
Thanks for your kind review! Best, Harambe

One of life's simple pleasures! I like the way you have presented it. The small things of life are the ones in which we are truly blessed. In terms of impact, I would have found a single exclamation mark more telling than a line of seven. Just a personal opinion.
