Hello Mystery writer a happy Thursday to you. I hope this finds you well. I really liked your story, I could relate to it on a couple of levels. Your story was well-written and engaging. Good Job! As someone who has been in the shoes of both your characters (being a victim of bullies and an abusive father) I can say there is no excuse for Marcus's behavior (there's a reason, not an excuse) at some point the cycle has to be broken. Hopefully Billy's kindness will lead him to choose a different path, Unfortunately life most often doesn't work that way. Anyway, I've ranted enough. Again, good job and good luck in the contest. Of course, you are right, maybe you have experience in such an act bullying is not at every point is a moral act, passing information and making the world surprised is not essentially the point, image building, losses and causing harassment are prime factors; your exemplification thru this fiction is orderly; I like the order of taletelling; well said, well done; post more. Hi there,
This is a nice little piece. The only thing that struck me was he seemed to abandon his christian values with ease at the start. I get we're complicated folk but that is what stuck with me.
It's a good piece with a satisfying conclusion, although most bullies I've encountered taka a lot longer to come round.

Hi there,
