Another fine poem, Gypsy----and one that depresses me to no end--the thought there is no end. The thought of going through all this shit again? No thanks!

This was greatly done, Gypsy. I really appreciated the time you spent on your narrative notes providing not only the notes on Thich Nhat Hanh and Sijo form with a break down on the three areas. Your mention of the Lotus flower and the Buddha Mantras were beautiful. Your words did capture a Theme, Elaboration and a Counter Theme. It was a wonderful tribute to Nhat. Very well done, greatly enjoyed. Blessed be n hugs.

Thank you, Aryr. I have been listening to Thich Nhat Hanh classes lately and I wanted to write something in his Honor. He was a wonderful Zen master. Thank you for your kind feedback. Blessed be.

Thank you for telling us about this admirable peace activist. Your poem shares a feeling of peaceful acceptance of all things by living in the present. The lotus flower is part of Buddhist legends as they say that when Buddha first started to walk, under each step a lotus flower grew. That's why you might see lotus festivals at Buddhist temples.

Oh, Gypsy, where are my sixes? This is fantastic. The best SIJO I've ever read. Great imagery, visuals and an award-winning presentation. Thank you very much for your educational author notes - I always learn from your works.
I especially like the wisdom of this:
life has no end and no beginning - only "now" exists.
It is so true, I wish more people understood this - this would have saved them years of needless suffering.
A virtual six (sorry I am out of real ones).
You rock!
