Good thing tomorrow brings the month of February because I definitely am in need of resetting and evaluating and if the "snow moon" can offer any suggestions I sure am ready to listen.

Hugs, CArol

Also a poet as well. Like this. The photo is beautiful. Reminds me of some places I have been, Well done, Beth. Where did Don set up his practice? I was going to ask before.

Thank you, Chuck. I started writing poetry before anything else but I don't enjoy reading poem. They have to make sense to me. Don's practice is here in Ootlewah. He started in North Chattanooga.

This is such a great Sonnet about the moon of February, which is called Snow. I didn't know but there is not a surprise. It's well deserved. Your Sonnet got the iambic meter right and the rhyming is good. I'm sure that syllable count is correct. I like the last line:
If things get worse, the moon is not to blame.

You should have entered the Sonnet contest.

Exceptionally done.

Thank you so much for the nice review and comments on this poem. It is supposed to snow more in the month of February. Some Indians called it the hunger moon because in February wasn't easy to find enough food. I really appreciate the six stars.

I like the Snow moon as a time of renewal and revival. In the last line, when you say the moon is not to blame, I didn't know whether you were rejected the idea that the moon and stars can affect events.

Thank you again for the review. I like the idea of renewal and revival too, and and I do believe the full moon has the power to influence our body and mind. Ask any nurse. I'm not a big believer in Astrology. Nothing much about my sign fits. My twins born within minutes apart or completely different, so I've seen no proof.

So glad that you are continuing your poems about each month's moon. I really liked this reflection about "Renewal of the spirit." We all have yearning for resetting and evaluating our lives during this pandemic. I think so much has changed and wonder what changes we will keep as we go forward. Enjoyed this sonnet!

Thank you, Helen. I pleased you liked the poem. I may continue with the moon poems but next month is the Worm moon. We'll see. I'm all in favor of Reflection and Renewal. We need that and if the moon can help with it I'm sure the Lord can.

Your words rhyme, there is structure to them. Your point is made and clear. Though it feels bland.
Where is the feeling? How should these words resonate inside me?
Maybe try for stronger words to give your phrases more power. A single word can change the entire feeling of a piece.

We certainly could use some renewing. Lovely poem, Beth, about the Snow Moon. I think the moon does affect some things, but not what's happening in the world these days.

Dear BethShelby,
Wasn't there a song blame it on the moon? It would be ancient like me LOL. I read your poem and thoroughly enjoyed it. Although where I am living we just 24 inches of snow. Anyway, your poem had a wonderful rhyme scheme. It flowed very well. Very creative writing. Great job, Thank you for sharing.
Blessings,
Darlene

This is a nicely written sonnet. Beautiful presentation background and font colour. Your photo blends quite nicely with your poem and background. Nicely done.

Ten syllables per line.

Can not blame the moon, snow or otherwise, for what is happening.

Strong rhymes throughout.

These include space and place.

Strong sonnet.
