You have written a great chapter with strong characters who offer information filled dialogue (which I love). The story holds my attention and leaves me looking forward to the next chapter.

I am getting slower by the second and every time I think I have a handle on being polite and telling everyone how much their efforts and words mean to me (truly mean to me) I discover I have just fallen further behind. I appreciate that people actually enjoy what spills from my aging brain and couldn't find more happiness than sharing my writing. I thank you for your time and thoughts.

Sending a basket of smiles and hugs and apologies... especially to those I've left waiting for days.

    HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!
May cupid sprinkle you with much joy!

    Always, Carol

Carol,

Nice! I knew he could do it! hahahaha And it's even better when everyone is watching and gets to applaud and celebrate with the couple. Nii-ii-ice!

Notes:
1.) "My dear friend, his movie is called "God's Not Here."
--> "My dear friend, his movie is called (')God's Not Here.(')"

2.) cross the room, "I hope you're right, Allie.(")

3.) especially the director of the controversial film called (')God's Not Here.(')"

4.) (")My kind? What would that be, Father?

5.) but I suggest you see my film before judging it or me.(")

These kinds of nits make me worry about you, sister. Is there problems on the homefront or are you just carried away by the power and speed of writing. Great job!

Your first guess might be closer to the truth but not to worry...I'll get through it. Thanks for showing me my errors. I'll get them fixed pronto!

Well at least, the proposal and acceptance is finally done. I hope Garth doesn't live to regret it. Allie is a force of nature. Nice conversation or forceful arguments. I think the Priest is going a bit far, but feelings like a child's loose tongue can be hard to control.

Good stuff.

Don't hold your breath for long... Allie will probably throw a curve ball somewhere and Garth is about to face a bundle of problems. As for the priest, the discussion happened between my son while he was filming his latest movie, God's Not Here. He misunderstood what the movie was really about and was quite rude. I couldn't resist and wrote a bit of his attitude.

Chapter 12! Yeah! I hadn't seen it until a few minutes ago and I was very pleased to find it. Three chapters in one day. I love it. This is a very good chapter and my feelings toward Father Tobias are confirmed. Hopefully, he'll get a good awakening!

Yes, I hope Father Tobias sees that his stern ways aren't what Napa Valley needs or will accept. Thank you again for reading three chapters at once. I am so flattered.

You are very welcome. Like I said, I really like the story. As for Father Tobias, I'd be surprised if he changed his scales to spots! :~)

He better keep those lips pressed tight, because that's the only way to keep those big mouthed women from overriding the damper. LOL. Just joking. Thanks for sharing.

Big mouthed women....So the truth escapes those lips of yours, I see. I better keep my distance since I can be opinionated but generally I smother it with smiles. LOL

I'm very opinionated too. But as I've gotten older, I just keep my mouth shut and listen. Unless, it's on a computer where you can't swat me with a broom. LOL. I thought I'd get a rise out of you with that. :-)

I know it that's why of course, I couldn't resist. Hope you're staying warm.... Got a good furnace right? Or do you prefer other ways?????
reply by Ric Myworld on 31-Jan-2022
Well, other ways would sound better. But, it's been so long for me that I'd probably have trouble figuring out which direction was up. LOL.

'"According to what I've overheard, ()Father thinks it's going against the church."' (the) or his full name. Without it, it sounds like you are speaking about someone's dad. The only way you get around this is by talking to him directly.

Another thing, in my opinion, is Annie and Allie. They are two similar. Maybe use a nick-name for the kid or something.

Another great chapter and tank you for sharing. Take care.

Thanks for stopping by....I used Father as a name so I didn't think I needed it in conversation. I can't change Annie and Allie because it's been that way for four books, but next time I will try to remember not to be so close in names.

    Thanks for the review.

Narrowminded and obnoxious people like Father Tobias always make me sooooooooo mad. I was furious as I read the dialogue with him about angels. I liked the director. Well-crafted chapter.

These two characters were based on an actual event my son Matt (the screenwriter and director) had with a priest who happened to be in the area when they were filming. It got under our skins and I had to include it in the story. Thank you so much.

Thank you! Glad for them--of course--you have to tantalize us with foreboding as to the chills. Intriguing interaction of the pompous priest and the film-maker.

Well, good to see Garth finally got his proposal to Allie completed. I was seriously beginning to wonder it would take place. I am so very much enjoying this story and will watch for the next chapter.

I thought you might be interested in where my inspiration for the argument with the Priest came from...It was an exchange between my son and a visitor when he was filming.

Annie has told a dangerous man about "Angel", and I foresee danger ahead for them both. I am glad that Garth was able to propose in such a lovely way - but she hasn't said "yes"! Wondering about the outcome now ... Waiting for the next! Well written!

That's right, she didn't actually say yes now did she. I hope she doesn't end up regretting that decision. We shall see!
