This is a sensational topic that even managed to mention Jesus. It is well written but I think I prefer topics that don't deal with brutality against animals. Good job nevertheless.

I agree that the topic is awful. I am an animal lover and this event was so upsetting to read about. I thought it worth reminding people that sometimes others indulge in terrible behaviour because they have been neglected somehow. They need to belong, to be part of a loving family to develop feelings and have compassion.

I agree with you and was by no means questioning the merit of your poem. I agree that compassion is learned in a loving family and can help overcome a painful past.

In your poem somehow to show how we are all redeemable.

This truly is a sad story. Unfortunately this sort of person lives amongst us. You have written this with feeling. The pain and the anger have been brought out well and the rhyming flows easily.
