Your poem brings back memories of the TV shows I liked to watch. There was a period when the western TV show were the most popular shows around. These days most of them or reruns but I've not seen reruns of Davy Crockett. Good luck in the contest.

I am not familiar with this TV show and it sounds like it is a lot of fun and very American cowboy! You brought the show live here and you painted a picture where John Wayne would fit right in, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

You did an excellent job of describing the romance of a show that many of us watched as children. It had all the adventure and novelty that any child could wish for. You might want to edit to delete the line spaces in the middle of your couplets. It's rathe disjointed as is and harder to read the rhyme properly.
