A great 1-6-1 syllable count poem! The first two lines flow and connect well. The last line says it all! Yet left me pondering! The artwork is
awesome and compliments both the theme and words of this poem.

Very romantic words and the image is also inviting. I can see this type of activity happening on an evening when there are no bugs swarming around. But thank goodness, the smoke will keep them away.

You have met the syllable count for this contest. The picture you chose and the words you chose make a powerful statement. You described passion in a way that anyone could read it. Good luck in the contest.

I liked the full set of line end rhymes in this short poem, and the colours you used both for the text and in the image did indeed invoke warmth and desire.

I love campfires, this particular one is on the beach which I love that much more. Great choice of words here. the starting of the fire, the warmth, and then the peace. Loved it

Oh how I do enjoy being beside a fire, admiring those flickering flames that can ignite 'warm desire' when with a companion. It's a primeval connection that you have expressed well in such a limited form.

I've read several of these entries today and I like this one. Fires do create a special atmosphere. What a wonderfully written poem.
Good luck in the contest!
Have a great day, and God bless.

This is an excellent 1-6-1 poem for the contest
with three very good rhymes
and a theme most will love in these cold January days.
Well done.
