In reflection, was he alive or a spirit, the boy who placed hands upon you?
If you had delivered a boy I would ask if his pre-mortal being broke out from the veil between earth and heaven, to plead his case to allow its birth. I loved the story.

This is a great entry for the Supernatural Story-not horror contest, and I think you have nailed it! I like the way your story progresses on beyond the supernatural event, as this gives invaluable context.

Thank you for sharing your personal story. I could relate to your retelling because I too experienced the heartbreak of having my loved husband cheat on me, forgiving him, and then having it happen again.
Leaving him was difficult, but it was the right thing to do. My children from him are a blessing.
Suggestions of tiny things: 1. he tossed it aside and said, "Save your money."
2-my hurt grew into hatred.
3-"Oh, I know," not single quotes but double or put in italics and leave off the quotes.
4. This sentence is awkward-My daughter is who I go to for spiritual upliftment. perhaps-I go to this daughter when I need a spiritual lift.
Otherwise, you had told your story well and I will vote for you.
