Hi June,
I bet this field smells as good as it looks. I once picked fresh blueberries. They are so good right off the vine.
Congrats for placing second in the contests.
Keep writing and stay healthy

June,

One only dreams of those blueberry pies in late summer or fall (I like blueberry jam or preserves too!). You chose a wonderful illustration to pair with your verse and also selected a nice color scheme.

The aroma of a hot blueberry pie (maybe with a scoop of ice cream) makes my taste buds tingle (-;

Best wishes in the voting.

Mark

This poem seems to have touched most of our senses - sight, taste, smell. I agree that ice cream on a slice of warm blueberry pie would be perfection on a cool autumm day...

Your verse is very well written with a theme that touches the heart of this reader. I love nature and the plethora of gems we find there. This lovely blueberry patch is one of them... Well done, June... great verse.

This poem seems to appeal to a lot of people! They must be envisioning warm blueberry with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on a cold winter's night...Glad you enjoyed the read.

What a beautiful poem about blueberries fields. We mostly only have raspberries in the Midwest. But I have harvest blueberries in the New York state before. I like the last line.

Well done and good luck.

The last of nature's aromas before the seasons change, I enjoyed this farewell gift as it will never a long time before summer offers all its fine pleasures again, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Blueberries are my husband's favorite. Here in Florida we have them locally grown and go picking. It comes in a few months for us. Beautifully penned and illustrated in field of blue.

Sending you my best today as always, and best wishes for the upcoming contest,
Sal XOs...

Hello June :)
I enjoyed reading your 5-7-5 poem (and I enjoy blueberries too!)
I like the idea of the sweet aroma of the blueberry fields being a 'gift' from one season to another. Lovely!
Good luck in the contest.
Best wishes, Debra

I enjoyed this, June. It's strange, but I never tasted a blueberry until I was almost thirty. What a waste of years! In the south, it was all about blackberries.
I love to look at that photo. I have never seen a field of blueberries--never thought about what it might look like. My daughter has a few bushes in her front yard, but nothing like that photo. That is extraordinary.
Glad that I read this one.
