Such a beautiful and well-written sonnet! It has the flawless iambic pentameter and solid rhyming that sounds as pleasant as anything Shakespeare wrote. I very much enjoyed this. Congratulations for taking first place. Well deserved.

Your poem is a beautifully textured, colourful delight to my senses. I love Claude Monet's Impressionist paintings and you have caught the feel of what he - or possibly the unknown person depicted in his painting - would be seeing while out walking.

Lisa, your review has left me exhilarated. Many thanks for the wonderful praise of my sonnet. I wish we had fields of flowers like this around us. To write this sonnet I had to use my imagination as much as the painting.

Your beautiful descriptions of the scenery and the weather take me to the flower fields - I especially love those 'whipped-up clouds' and the 'flamboyant fields of flowers dabbed with dew' (loving the generous alliteration in that line!)
