Thank you Jerome, and I hope your cocktail was a good one. Yeah the stricter the contest rules are, the weirder my entries become. Gosh, who knows what I will be writing by Valentine's Day. I have a further entry out in the Star Wars series, and at least one more is scheduled for later this week, in case you are looking for more reading material for drinking. And of course don't forget Dragonskulls. I save his writing for the hookah bar.

You have the ability to circumvent the rules. I like your thinking. I have no clue how old you are, but you remind me very much of my second son, Jeff. He's 41. He always gave me as his mom, a run for my money and was always one step a head of me. LOL Good luck with the contest.

Hey Melodie thank you for the great review. I spent way too much time editing that picture to get the pina coladas just right. I have further entries in the series coming along -- you'll be able to find them in these nice family contests. Maybe they are getting ready to people's progressive grandchildren to bring them up right. Now that would be truly terrifying.

firstly, congratulations are adhering to some of the most ridiculously stringent rules I've come across. I'm surprised they didn't specify what hand you could use to wipe your own arse...
Anyway, spot on with word count.
The coconut falls directly on top of Freddie Mercury.- I'd be inclined to change on top of to above. What you've written initially give the impression it's hit Freddie which isn't the case.
"We thought we'd be real pirates for a day", says Daddy Freddie - maybe put the comma inside of the speech marks.
That was barmy. I like the way you completely usurped the competition rules without breaking a single one. Nice job

Thank you GMG for this awesome review and the outstanding technical edits. I always thought the other way of using commas (outside the quote) was the right way in American English wjth a quote, but I just looked it up, and you are right. I will remember this. Edit made.
The other thing I did deliberately, to create the impression of impending violence without actually committing it. So I might leave that one. But your observation is astute nonetheless.
I wrote this entire thing in about 30 minutes at a hookah bar with very loud music. It was quite the trip. Some of these rules were clearly written specifically due to my last Family Contest entry, which is great. Guess I will have to find another contest for the next entry in that series, lol.
