A good plea from the POV of the koala. It is continuing to be hard to get a balance for our koalas, between bush fires and builds taking their food source. Well done with these eight words K. A good message. Cheers

Hi Valda, I thought a plea might reach someone out in the ether. So many of our animals are going the way of the Tassie Tiger. Love, K xx

8 Words or Less Poem contest entry, Good Lord.
I though the two line one was small.
These contests are getting smaller and smaller.
But nice entry into the contest.
Yes, we should help preserve the Koalas
I hope you do well in the contest.
Thanks for sharing with us.

Gee, Now that's a good name. Yes, the poems are shrinking, I wouldn't even call it a poem. Thanks for reading new friend. K xx

You have made excellent use of your eight syllables in this moving, timely piece about animals' habitats being eaten up by expansion of commercial buildings, etc.

There's not much one can say about the structure and substance of a one line poem, but you have accompanied your observation with a heart-warming picture, which enhances and emphasises your message.

G'Day PK. Yes, not much in a one-line poem. I meant to have a wake-up to what man is doing to the Koala habitat. Thanks, K xx

It is so heart breaking to think of these cute koalas losing their homes. I hope they have a chance at survival. Your eight word poem gives them a voice. This is also the first poem I have read that is about koalas.

Hello Elaine, The Koala is a marsupial that has live young. She carries baby on her back. Their only food source is eucalyptus leaves from the gum tree. Man is cutting down the trees to build houses. When we had bad fires; a triage was set up to nurse the Koala and other native animals that had been burnt. Thanks for reading my friend. K xx

This is a good enter for the 8 words or less contest.
Poor koalas. Not only is man stripping them of habitat but harsh bush fires are a heavy blow to their survival. A great eye-opener of an entry in seven words.
Best of luck in the competition.

Hello DD, Thanks for reading. Our national symbol is in danger of extinction. They only eat gum leaves and man is chopping down for building houses! Love, K xx

Hello my friend. Thanks for reading. Yes, our national symbol is an endangered species because man is building houses, lopping down the Koala's gum trees. Blessings, K xx

It is pitiful how destructive humans can be in the name of progress. Some animals only exist now in the zoo. It is a sad commentary on what is supposed to be this world's most intelligent species. I am glad you shared this, Kay, and I wish you well in the contest. xo

Good luck wishes regarding the 8 Words or Less Poem contest, Kay. What an adorable yet sad face. I have truly never seen a Koala but it does sadden me to know that their homes are being destroyed. Here's to saving the eucalyptus gum leaves!!! It is truly their only food source.

Hello my friend. They are just like a giant Teddy, can get cranky. Sleep a lot and next we will be seeing them in a Zoo! Thanks for dropping in Alie. Love, Kay xx

That is so sweet, that you describe them as that. You are most welcome, Kay.

There are many animals in the same boat. Would that we had a modern day Noah to steer them home safely! I'm always heartened to hear of the many organisations and individuals who have their best interests at heart. It gives one hope.
