I had to go back a bit Theodore, to find a piece of your writing I haven't read. Please forgive me for popping in so randomly, but I needed a Theodore fix, lol. The coming of us before the Lord. I'm not an overly religious person, but when I read your words, they always send me messages all of which prompt me to ask myself, why am I not? Anyway, a beautiful piece of writing. I may not be word-drugged as of yet. So, you may hear from me again before this night is out, lol. Lucky you!

Can't believe, can't imagine I missed this when it was posted. A blessed write of torment and triumph. A prayer as much as a poem...
Testament to faith sorely tested but never broken. Your penultimate stanza is a miracle unto itself...

Thank you, Mr. Theodore.
Another great poem.
I'm still not at the free verse/blank verse level.
But I do enjoy your poems.
And this had a great ending.
Thank you sir

We all have already arrived as long as we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior.
As long as we practice that each and every Sabbath Sunday and fulfill our commitments.
As long as we take in the sacrament realizing the sacrifice he has done for us all!
Well written and thanks.

Tim, this is so beautiful! Love the last line of this prayer-like poem. "You assure me that I have already arrived." What a great assurance and promise. Despite the wilderness we are journeying through, we have His presence, a safe haven. I will bookmark for me to read again and again.

I love your spiritual poem, Teddy dear. Our faith is worth the fight as the Lord has given us His all: His body and blood. His love, strength, and assurances have carried you through so much, I see.
Sending you my best today and blessings always,

AMEN!! Yes, God is with us through every journey we must travel. Sometimes I feel we must take those horrible routes to better understand God when we get there. Thank you for sharing.

Yes. It always sounds good, when one chooses to openly declare
and bring his lord to the forefront of Art. And you have an amazing
way of putting that on display. Keep Writing.

Comment from Mary Vigasin
I see this as a prayer as much as a poem. It is an intimate discussion with God and thanking Him for sustaining him through difficult times.
Here you end by directing your prayer to God.
"You quiet my doubts and fears
within the safe haven of Your presence.
No matter how far and wide I must journey,
how many wildernesses I must endure,
You assure me I have already arrived."
A beautiful poem and prayer.
Best wishes,
Mary

Trust and faith in what we cannot see or physically feel is almost impossible for many, but without both, we can never reach the level of consciousness we seek to achieve. Thanks for sharing.
