This is a very well written poem. It has a great flow and rhyme scheme. Well put together. Great photo choice to compliment your words as well. Good luck in the contest.

An interesting twist on the theme of revenge, and a positive poem with your revenge on the vicious pain of depressing thoughts being the victory of happiness. Well written. Best wishes.

Your poem makes very expressive use of symbols and figures of speech to describe the determination to defeat depression and mental health issues by being happy! ("One IN the same" really should be "one AND the same.")

Revenge is like a sword with two blades and no handle, it cuts on both ends, he who welds it will be injured, also!! It's one of life's biggest tests, better to leave it go! It's best to walk away from a situation such as revenge.

O yes indeed, the devil comes to maim steal, kill and destroy, there is no good in him. Yes the one thing he doesn't like is if we follow God, do good and be joyful and happy, brilliantly done my friend, good luck, blessings Roy

I liked the poem and its story of a battle against mental illness, which Robin Williams said was the mother of all bitches. It's significant that the author is not going to give up, no matter what. The only negative I could tell was that it didn't flow smoothly in some lines.

Hmm, good end rhymes and the reader understands the story and the situation clearly. I can see how, it would seem like two separate entities, and one is forcing this addiction on the other. Why not get revenge on yourself?

Good luck.

Very good work, I read as a commentary on that little voice we all hear, enticing us to do that pleasurable thing we know is wrong.
Resistance is our only weapon, fueled and fired by Faith.
The world we live in is not geared to honor, but to deception, just look at the TV ads.
This is a daily fight, never lost, but never won, but an honorable battle.
Cheers, irish

Happiness is sometimes hard to come by in this day and age. You have accurately described the situation that we all have to deal with - the temptation to give in to our immoral thoughts.
