This is an excellent 5-7-5 poem for the contest
with very good imagery of the volcanic lava.
Topical theme as there is currently volcanic activity.
Interesting art work to match the poem.
Nicely done.

Honestly, I had written this before the Pacific eruption had occurred, which has affected the people of Tonga and surrounding islands.

Hello :)
This is a really clever 5-7-5.
Nice use of enjambment between lines 1 and 2, effective alliteration and well presented.
I enjoyed how you likened lava to a red slithering serpent. The use of the word 'shedding' is in good keeping with the snaky theme.
