I loved it. Great job. Good writing.
Maybe it;s because I enjoy the same degree of OCD (slightly). Afterall, why 'shouldn't' all hanging shirts face the same direction? It's more than obvious! Two rows of cookies, one row has an extra cookie. Which will you take? You take from the short row and then I have to eat two.
Oh, and if you do get a tatoo, you'll have to get two.

What a super review. I am definitely with you re shirts hanging the same way, and hangers also must face the same way. And great idea re the cookies! Nah, no tattoo for me. That bit was just for fun.
Thank you so much. Made me smile!

I bet your hair looks great. It is kind of like wearing a bob haircut. I like to see the bob shorter in the back and longer on the sides. What did your hubby say, did he notice?

I pre-warned him! He is always very non-committal ... so I never quite know. I am getting used to it, and doing it different ways, maybe it just takes practice. Thanks so much for your lovely review.

Oh my, I guess that will be filed under the title... it will grow back or at least I hope. My ponytail was becoming so thin that I took it out, snip, snip and suddenly I had short hair.....very thin short hair. The doc has lots of reasons for what's happening...I say all the craziness is making even my hair wanting to leave. I loved your punch line...I am sure you turned a few heads with that one. LOL

Hugs, Carol

Yes, I put the last line in for shock value only - i would never get a tattoo! Stress will certainly interfere with your hair health, but I am sure you still look good even with fine short hair. I was cutting my fringe during covid, but I wouldn't be game to do the rest. I am getting used to this style, and with a bit of practice I am starting to do it in different styles!! Thanks so much for reviewing. Stay strong, and resilient like the trees, deep-rooted in the the water of LIfe.

Lol! No, don't get a tattoo! I think there's a verse against that. Lol. Don't quote me on that - one mom used that to dissuade her daughter from getting one.
Good for you to try something new! Courage! I understand as I have my own OCD quirks but I haven't darkened the doors of a salon now for three years. I just trim the ends of my hair. And ponytails for fine for grandmas, too! Thanks for sharing!

Don't worry, I would never get a tattoo - that was just a fun thing to shock people at the end! And yes, I still wear a pony tail too, I can just get enough to keep it off my neck which helps with humid summer weather. Lol. I'm getting used to it. I need "wash and wear", and if I don't blow dry this style it will still be fine, as it will just be like a wavy bob. Thanks so much for your lovely review.

Oh, I could never figure out the adding "product" thing. It's okay - we'll keep it natural! 😊

I doubt there is a female alive who cannot identify with the new haircut. I remember many years ago getting a 'curly perm' and, when I got home, my husband asked, "Did you do that on purpose?" I am pretty sure he was waiting for my answer to see which side of the fence I was on! I love your story. The imagery is palpable and the writing well done. ann

Thank you so much Ann! What a super review. So did you like your perm? And did he? My husband is always very non-committal ...

Some days, I liked it and some days, I looked in the mirror and thought 'what were you thinking1" I was glad when it grew out.

There isn't much that's more frustrating than a haircut turned wrong. I have never gone for anything that required very much work. I even cut it myself most of the time. As for wearing caps, I look like short Q-tip. I'd love to wear caps more, but I look ridiculous in one. Don't despair, Wendy. It will grow out in no time.

I'm sorry, Wendy, but this is funny! Yes it sure does sound like someone with more than a little OCD! I think I'd try something way out of the ordinary, just once. It isn't irrepairable after all. lol

Thank you Judy - a great review! I MAY have slightly exaggerated, but I agree with you re the OCD (even with clothes pegs!). Thanks for picking up the typo. Will fix it.

Lol! You sound like my wife who loves symmetry, whereas I tend toward the Japanese aesthetic of asymmetry. What a killer last line about the tattoo. Well done, with a dash of humor.

LOL This reminds me of a story. My third son, my math geek, was helping set up my classroom after summer break. That summer I was diagnosed with breast cancer and just had two breast surgeries so couldn't moved desks or carry anything. After my room was set up, his comment was, "But Mom, this room isn't symmetrical." My comment, "But Andrew, first graders aren't symmetrical." He just shook his head. LOL I am sure your hair cut looks wonderful.

Thank you so much for reviewing Barbara. Appreciated.
I have to admit my classroom (for secondary school students) was always symmetrical!

Definitely OCD by the sound of it. Human beings on the whole are not symmetrical. Almost yes but not quite. On the odd occasions that one sees a symmetrical face it actually looks odd. It is the way one side differs slightly from the other that makes for attractiveness as long as it is not too different.

I MAY have slightly exaggerated my OCD tendencies, for the purpose of the story - but not very much. I agree re the OCD.
That is encouraging re face shapes!!!
Thanks for your review - always appreciated!
