I really like you take on this and the perspective you have taken. It reads well. I hope you reach your dreams.
I think I would be tempted to put some paragraph brakes in there. It would add more emphasis to your repeated phrases "I will...". It would also allow each line to have more space for the reader to take each point in a little bit more... like in the original speech that has lots of pauses.
