This is a nice poem. I like to try to keep the past alive as well. There are interesting things happening every day and I should be enjoying them more but my favorite times are in the past. I guess it is because I can forget all the things that were perfect and just think about times that made me smile.

You have a beautiful attitude! And though those memories can make us sad because those times are no more, we can relive them and thank God for them and like you, develop that happy attitude.

Memories can bring us to our happy place. I am glad yours are able to that for you. Many times somebody will post something here that brings back a happy memory to me, especially the poets. Thank you for sharing.

Yes, the past is good, at least for two things, one can stop being a fool, for what is not expedient for one's own life, and another is happy memories is a good place to go. I'm still building happy memories at the moment, looking forward is still youth-like, another superb poem Yvonne, blessings Roy
