I love this Miss Yvonne.
It is exactly why we review
our most precious memories.
We are keeping them, and those
in them alive for a time.
They uplift us, and you have put it
all so beautifully here.
Blessings...

-Nice artwork and presentation.
-I like your poem, the topic, imagery, and rhyme.
-I also like the progression of your thoughts.
-You show how important certain memories are to you.
-The explanation of the "mental trips" and nicely
leads to "happy thoughts" and the concluding verse.
-It is good you have found a way to have your "soul renewed."
-A very good poem that can also be helpful to others.
-Thanks for sharing it.

Your poem has special meaning to anyone who has lost a dear loved one, Yvonne. It speaks volumes of a time those who are left behind can cherish the memories of happier times. You did an excellent job of expressing your thoughts and feelings. I know John is looking down on you and smiling. This is a great presentation in image, color scheme, flow, and heart felt emotion.
Respectfully, Jan

It is great to hear that you have found a way of coping with that 'grinding, gripping grief.' That is great alliterarion on the hard 'G' by the way. Great writing here and a great attitude too.

Still struggling, but I'm finding some light. If I didn't still have Stewart, I don't know what I'd do. Thanks, Jim.

Yes, I know where you are coming from Yvonne. And it's our happy memories that wrap around us and come forth when we most need them.
My daughter and I are going away for a few days, bridal dress shopping with my granddaughter. I know Tony will be with each one of us. Keep on wrapping those memories around you, mate.
cheers,
valda

Thank you, dear friend. You go and have fun picking out bridal dressed, but stay safe and well.

Hello Yvonne,
I'm glad you have a place to retreat to, to refresh your state of mind and renew your spirit. Memories can be a blessing, both for yourself, and in this case for your audience. We are blessed as you relive those pleasant times and share your feelings. You have more good memories to make my friend, enjoy the past, but reach for the future. I believe you have a lot to give.
Have a blessed day.
Tom

Yvonne,
I really hate the idea that anything could make you sad and send you into moments of despair and grief. BUT I adore the idea that you have so many wonderful memories you can rely on and turn to that offer you peace and joy. We should all hold onto those lovely things in our hearts and lives. *smile* Thanks so much!

This was truly amazing, damommy. I loved the picture of the distant sun peeking through the clouds, with the silhouette of the lady in the forefront. Your words brought joy to my heart, knowing that you were able to take these little trips to happiness every now and then.

This is a nice poem. I like to try to keep the past alive as well. There are interesting things happening every day and I should be enjoying them more but my favorite times are in the past. I guess it is because I can forget all the things that were perfect and just think about times that made me smile.
